Ikuko Kato is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Saitama City Comprehensive Center for Children and Families, located adjacent to Tokyo, and a certified WATer. After graduating from medical school, she completed specialized training in pediatrics and child and adolescent psychiatry, dedicating herself to clinical practice and community mental health promotion activities. Her recent activities include involvement in the domestic practice, and research of TCIT, and she serves as a director of PCIT-Japan. As a WATer, she implements PCIT at the center's Child Guidance Center and Inclusive family support section, while also engaging in the training of the next generation of therapists and trainers as an RTT.
