Daniella Gelman (she/her) is a fourth-year doctoral candidate in clinical child psychology at the University of Maine. Her research interests include examining the interplay between intrapersonal and interpersonal emotion regulation strategies in close friendships and how this may serve as a predictor for mental health functioning. Clinically, she has a strong interest in early and middle childhood mental health and the utility of collaborative work among youth and their supports, including teachers, caregivers, and clinicians. Her research and clinical work reflect a strong commitment to broadening access to evidence-based care for underserved populations.
