Yu Teng Lee is a clinical psychologist trained at the University of Sydney, with a strong background in developmental psychopathology, parent–child interventions, and applied clinical research. She completed her Master of Clinical Psychology with distinction, following First Class Honours in Psychology from the National University of Singapore, where she was also a scholar in the highly selective University Scholars Programme.
Yu Teng has extensive clinical experience delivering evidence-based interventions to children and families, including Parent–Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for disruptive behaviour and conduct problems, as well as work with neurodevelopmental populations such as children with autism spectrum disorder. She has been involved in the adaptation and evaluation of School PCIT, contributing to research, clinician training, and the development of a teacher coaching component designed to support the generalisation of behaviour change across home and school contexts.
Her research experience spans longitudinal cohort studies, clinical trials, and applied intervention research, with particular expertise in parent–child interaction processes, behavioural assessment, and observational coding. She has presented her work internationally and co-authored peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals. Alongside her child and family work, Yu Teng has clinical and research experience in adult mental health and gambling treatment services.
Her work is characterised by a strong scientist–practitioner approach, combining rigorous research methods with practical, scalable clinical training for psychologists and educators.
