Dr. Hitoe Kimura, PhD, PHN, RN, is a Lecturer at the Fukuoka International University of Health and Welfare (FIUHW) in Fukuoka, Japan. Since completing her initial training (IWS) in 2012, she has developed her expertise in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She is a PCIT Within Agency Trainer (WAT) and has served as a Co-Trainer for multiple PCIT Initial Workshops (IWS). Her practice includes Standard PCIT, Group PCIT, and PCIT for Older Children (PCIT-OC). Dr. Kimura has also been deeply involved in the practice and research of CARE (Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement) in community settings since 2013. As a CARE Facilitator and Board Member of CARE-Japan, she provides training for professionals and works towards the nationwide dissemination of the program under the motto, "CARE for All Children." Her research was recognized at the 26th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS 2023), where she received the "Best Poster Presentation Award" for her RCT study on the effects of CARE in community health. Currently, she is conducting practical research on CARE specifically for families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
