Laura Bullock, LCSW, is a senior clinician at Henrico Area Mental Health & Developmental Services. Laura has over 17 years of experience providing direct care and teaching in community mental health, serving a diverse population of children and families impacted by trauma, mental health and emotional disturbances, and neurodivergences. Laura received her master’s degree in clinical social work from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. Laura is a certified PCIT clinician, PCIT WATer trainer, and CARE facilitator, having received her PCIT and CARE training from the Duke University Center for Child and Family Health. She helped establish and build a thriving PCIT and CARE program in Henrico County Virginia; making PCIT first available in the area and offered in three languages while accessible to all families regardless of insurance or financial ability. Laura has presented her work on building a sustainable PCIT program at state and regional conferences. She has facilitated numerous CARE trainings with a systematic approach, targeting local public youth serving agencies and public safety agencies. Laura serves as a mental health consultant for Richmond Virginia’s NBC12 news. Her work in CARE and PCIT has won two National Association of Counties Awards for innovation and a distinguished achievement award from the Virginia Association of Counties.
