To be addedDr. Carisa Wilsie is a licensed psychologist and associate professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She is also adjunct faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Wilsie is currently serving as the Director of the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Program for the Oklahoma Human Services Child Welfare Division. She was appointed by the Oklahoma Senate Pro Tem to the board for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and voted as the Vice-Chair. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Auburn University. Her primary clinical and research interests include assessment and treatment of youth who have experienced child maltreatment, young children with disruptive behaviors, and the dissemination of evidence-based treatments. She has experience providing training and consultation in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for national and international agencies. She spends a lot of time with child welfare agencies and resource parents in consultation, training, research, and support roles to better the environments for our children in state custody.
