Dr. Mariel Cannady is an assistant clinical professor at Dell Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She is a licensed clinical and school psychologist in Texas. Clinically she provides evidence-based interventions at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas. She is a certified PCIT therapist and RUBI-Certified Practitioner. Dr. Cannady specializes in treating preschool through adolescent-age youth with neurodevelopmental disorders, behavioral challenges, and anxiety. She supervises psychology trainees and is also active in training pediatric residents and child/adolescent psychiatry fellows in evidence-based treatments for autistic youth. Dr. Cannady earned her doctorate degree in combined clinical and school psychology from James Madison University in Virginia. Before that she was an autism fellow in the LEND program at Virginia Commonwealth University and a school psychologist in Richmond, Virginia.
