Loretta Eboigbe is a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is working with Dr. Fanita Tyrell in the Resilient Adaptation across Culture and Context (RACC) Lab. She received a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Brown University in 2020. Her research explores how identity development, cultural strengths, parental socialization, and coping strategies influence psychosocial outcomes for immigrant youth, with a particular focus on Black immigrant communities. Loretta is currently an extern in the school-based mental health track with the Wellbeing in School Environments (WISE) program. She is passionate about expanding access to mental healthcare through community-engaged approaches that foster connection, creativity, and healing. Loretta’s mission is centered on cultivating joy and honoring the lived experiences of the children, families, educators, and community leaders she is privileged to collaborate with. She is committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care, and partners with children and families to support their goals.
