Emily O’Gorman, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and licensed clinical psychologist in the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. O’Gorman is a Certified PCIT Therapist and Within-Agency Trainer in training. Her clinical work centers on empirically supported assessment and intervention with children with neurodevelopmental disorders (fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, autism spectrum disorder, trisomy 21, cerebral palsy) who have experienced trauma or have co-occurring anxiety or emotional and behavioral dysregulation. Dr. O’Gorman also provides interdisciplinary follow-up care to infants and toddlers with early developmental risk. Dr. O’Gorman earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology and Quantitative Psychology from the University of Toledo. She completed her residency in community mental health in Denver, CO and her postdoctoral training at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
