Dr. Sarah Vess is a pediatric psychologist in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics (DBP) at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Her clinical role is focused on assessment of autism and neurodevelopmental disorders along with a healthy dose of providing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She is the DBP Psychology Services Division Head and the Director of the DBP PCIT Clinic. She is a Within-Agency Trainer (WAT) for Parent Child Interaction Therapy and is a Regional PCIT Trainer Candidate in Training. Dr. Vess’ current research interests are developing best clinical practices in diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and applying PCIT and PCIT-Toddler to families of children with Autism, Global Developmental Delay, genetic conditions, and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
