Dr. Arista Rayfield received her doctoral degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of Florida in 1997 with a concentration in Clinical Child Psychology where she trained for four years with Dr. Sheila Eyberg in Parent Child Interaction Therapy. She completed her APA accredited internship at the Medical College of Georgia’s Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior. Dr. Rayfield completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at the University of Florida in the Department of Psychiatry where she served as the Assistant Director of the Diabetes Project Unit. In 2001, Dr. Rayfield joined Children’s of Alabama(COA) as a psychologist in the Children’s Behavioral Health Division. Dr. Rayfield is the Service Line Leader for PCIT and Inpatient Psychological Testing at COA. Dr. Rayfield is hub team psychologist for the Pediatric Access to Telemental Health (PATHS) team. Partnering with Children's Behavioral Health, PATHS, and the Alabama Department of Mental Health, Dr. Rayfield and colleagues have trained over 50 therapists in PCIT during the last 4 years. Dr. Rayfield is certified as a Regional Trainer for Parent Child Interaction Therapy by PCIT International.
