Kerrie G. Murphy, Ph.D., received her Ph.D. in Clinical-Community psychology from the University of South Carolina and completed her internship and postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, TN. Dr. Murphy is a certified PCIT International Within Agency Trainer and is in the process of pursuing Regional Trainer certification. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and currently owns a private practice in Charleston, SC, where she almost exclusively provides PCIT. She previously worked in academic medical settings and universities conducting direct clinical services, research, and training related to PCIT and early childhood mental health. Dr. Murphy is heavily invested in infant and early childhood mental health in South Carolina, as she is Endorsed as an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist (ECMH-E®), and serves on the Board of the South Carolina Infant Mental Health Association (SCIMHA). She is committed to increasing support and awareness to infant and early childhood mental health and increasing access to evidence-based treatments throughout South Carolina, particularly to underserved families.
